In their Easter finery

Aren't these the cutest kids you have ever seen? Of course they didn't want their pictures taken, but it is Easter.

Nate loved his Easter present-his lizards. I think that Lily looks so cute in this picture.

Cameron wasn't too happy to have his picture taken.

Happy Easter

Dave was looking over Jacob's basket of goodies.
Nate loved looking for the eggs. He spent every moment with his basket.

Cam had speedy legs and found a lot of eggs.

Here is Nate busy gathering eggs. Everyone found money in their eggs, but he was more interested in the candy.

Lily was excited for her basket and High School Musical.

Decorating Eggs

The kids were excited to decorate eggs. Megan is adding the vinegar to the coloring. From my experience of decorating eggs, vinegar is the key to vibrant colors. Cam was anxious to begin.
Lily and Nate are busy talking to grandpa.

Cam made some really neat creations. Megan was recording it with her camera. Only in California can you decorate eggs outside. It made it a lot easier to clean it up.

California, Here We Come

Nate and Cam

Jacob, Lily and me.

Can you believe that I would go on a trip and forget my camera? I wanted Sid to turn around, but he didn't. I did survive and used a lot of disposable cameras. It was hard to not see the picture immediately. Anyway I took this photo of Lily and I on a ferris wheel at the mall at Newport. It was quite cool.

Lily was calling her Mom to tell her where she was. I enjoyed being with Lily. She is growing up.

Is it ever going to be spring?

Yes, we woke up today to snow again. It hasn't been very warm all day today.

Cole-Soccer Star

Cole scored many goals. I lost count. He is very fast.
He is a very fast runner like his mother or like his father.

Matt & Jess joined us this weekend. It was very cold and snowy. Holly spent her time in her car. She is a fair-weather spectator.

Dusty was the only person in shorts at the game. He is a proud Dad.

Cole is a great competitor and played the whole game. They had only 4 players so they had to borrow a kid from the other team. Sid and took the kids to the movies and the other four adults went to their movie. That's what grandparents are for! We had a great weekend despite the freezing temperatures and snow.

A Work of Art-Disturbed!

Sid and I went to BYU-Provo on Friday. I went to hear Andrew Clement, my nephew, perform his cello for his senior recital. Braxton kept Sid entertained. Andrew's recital was at the Museum of Arts building. When I saw Braxton, he wanted me to see something. I followed him into this room where there was a bunch of packing popcorn. Before I knew it, he was in the pile and not getting out. The security guy was right next to me telling me to get Braxton out of there. He also mentioned that Braxton had been there before and that pictures were not allowed. I had no idea that it was an art display. Braxton loved it and had the packing stuff all over the place. What a kid! My sister, Gale and her husband drove from Chicago for spring break.

The Best Birthday Present Ever

Adam turned three on March 10th. I wasn't around on his birthday so I took him to Target to choose his own present. Notice his jacket...Mr. Nascar.
He choose two motorcycles with guys. He loved it and kept saying it was his best birthday present ever and where was his birthday present? He kept losing and breaking it. He is at the cutest age ever.

Grecian Water Gods

Sid walking to the weddin march.
Brant is getting his water which he will spit out.

Dennis is getting his water which he has to keep inside of his mouth.

Dennis is marching in.

Yes, that is Sid wearing a table cloth. He, Dennis and Brant joined by several members of ward, performed a Greican Water Dance. It was really funny and the guys really enjoyed it. It is hard to explain, but you had to be there to fully appreciate it. The talent show was really good and I thought that I was at American Idol. The talent at the college is amazing. About 1/3 of these kids will be heading home and new ones will be coming in a few weeks. Sid has a few weeks off before the new semester begins. I think that this will be a great experience for him.
